Angry Orchard Easy Apple

~I'm not a beer. I'm a cider.~

20170731:
As labeled, this cider was easy to drink and had a light apple taste. There was no bitterness and it was not overly sweet. It had a minutely dry finish.

Oskar Blues Beerito

20170731:
Beerito. Straight from the can.

The beer was a little bitter. It was hard to pinpoint the taste. Perhaps I got the sense that it was a lager. 12:49AM PT

As it warmed up, the beer tasted worse. I supposed it ended alright, but I wouldn't try it again.

Lagers are one of my less favored styles of beer. 3:34AM PT

Estrella Galicia

20170728:
Drinking the Estrella Galicia, I thought it tasted like a lighter Dos Equis. It was mostly an enjoyable, but it ended with a bitter aftertaste. 6:32PM PT

Wasatch Jalapeno Cream Ale

20170715:
This jalapeño cream ale had a jalapeño smell and a clear orange color.

The beer also had a nice, subtle spiciness - sometimes a little more than subtle, but still good.

While I'm not a fan of cream ales, the spiciness of the jalapeno made an essential contribution to the flavor which I enjoyed.

The creaminess was light, and the taste was not as strong as that of a cream soda. 12:34 PM

I found that intermittently sipping on the beer was the best way to enjoy the subtle spicy flavor.

Live Oak HefeWeizen

20170701:
The beer had a lovely wheat smell. At first I noted the taste of bubblegum. Then, I noted that it didn't taste like Fruity Pebbles. Next I thought it had a slight citrus taste, but then I concluded it was just the taste of wheat. 2:17PM CT

I liked how the beer tasted at the end more than how it tasted at the beginning. 3:01PM CT

Website Description:
Modeled after the classic wheat beers of Bavaria, HefeWeizen is cloudy and straw-colored with a meringue-like head that lingers to the bottom of the glass. Brewed with equal parts wheat and barley malts and few hops, this beer features a unique yeast strain that produces harmonious notes of clove, banana, and vanilla. A proper execution of the classic style, this idiosyncratic Bavarian style is perfectly at home here in Texas.
