I wrote: "This Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was really sour. As far as I can remember, this is the first time I have experienced such an awkward taste with any beer. I'm pretty sure I've had this beer before and I don't remember it tasting like this. Maybe it was just too warm. In any case, I eventually finished it." 10:27PM PT

PALE ALE

The beginning. A classic. Our most popular beer.

Pale Ale began as a home brewer’s dream, grew into an icon, and inspired countless brewers to follow a passion of their own. Its unique piney and grapefruit aromas from the use of whole-cone American hops have fascinated beer drinkers for decades and made this beer a classic, yet it remains new, complex and surprising to thousands of beer drinkers every day. It is—as it always has been—all natural, bottle conditioned and refreshingly bold.

Perfect Patron Margarita

20130815:
As far as I can remember, this is my first time at a Joe's Crab Shack. I did not, however, participate in getting crab.

To drink I had the "Perfect Patron Margarita." I wrote: "This is real easy to drink. It's a good blend. Overall, it's pretty delicious." 7:36PM ET

I got the following recipe from a photo posted on pinterest:
Perfect Patron Margarita
2 parts PATRON SILVER
1 part PATRON CITRONGE
sweet & sour

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake vigorously. Pour mixture over ice in a glass with a salted rim.

I got the following measurements from a "Joe's Crab Shack cocktails Flash Cards" on Quizlet.com:
1.5 oz Patron Silver
0.75 Patron Citronge
5 oz Sour

Goose Island Honker's Ale

20130814:
I wrote the following: "This Goose Island Honker's Ale didn't have much of a smell. On the first few sips, it has quite a carbonated mouthfeel. It has a good taste, but hard to describe. It's not grassy. I found it felt more watery as time passed. Overall, I would say its a tastier likeness of Yuengling." 8:58PM ET

Widmer Brothers Rotator IPA: Hopside Down

20130809:
I wrote: "This Widmer Brothers Hopside Down has a great apricot-like smell. Well, maybe not apricot, but some sort of fruit. This is not to be confused with the smell of so-called fruity beers. In any case, I like the taste it gives off when it hits the tongue on each sip, but it seems to be leaving a bitter aftertaste. In fact, a very strong bitter aftertaste." 6:40PM ET

Anchor California Lager

20130806:
Note - Received @ 8:35 PM ET:
"Anchor California Lager. This beer is alright. It mostly tastes like a slightly better... er... Budweiser or Natty Boh. I generally don't drink lagers, but I tend to try the special draft beer here at CVP if it's a beer I haven't already tried." 8:35PM ET

Website Information:
ANCHOR CALIFORNIA LAGER®

California's first genuine lager reborn.

Anchor Steam's® roots go back to the Gold Rush, long before icehouses and modern refrigeration made traditional lagers a viable California option. In 1876, thanks to an ice pond in the mountains and a belief that anything is possible in the Golden State, a little brewery named Boca created California's first genuine lager. Anchor California Lager® is our re-creation of this historic American beer.

Made in San Francisco with two-row California barley, Cluster hops (the premier hop in 19th-century California), and our own lager yeast, this all-malt brew is kräusened and lagered in our cellars. Its golden color, distinctive aroma, creamy head, balanced depth of flavor, and smooth finish make Anchor California Lager® a delicious celebration of California’s unique craft brewing heritage.

The California grizzly bear on our Anchor California Lager® label is from a woodcut by Durbin Van Vleck (1833–1898), courtesy of The Bancroft Library, UC Berkeley. First published in 1856 in San Francisco, it is a superbly crafted rendering of an original illustration by Charles Christian Nahl (1818–1878), who had painted both eastbound and westbound versions of this bear. Nearly a century later, Nahl's bear served as inspiration for the design of the bear on California's modern state flag. Although that bear is heading west, our bear—like the bear on Boca Brewing's historic lager label—is heading east.
