Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout

20110603:
13.5% Wine Bar
12 fl. oz. bottle poured into a glass
$4.9

This beer had a dark color. It had no smell. I mostly sensed the bubbles on my tongue. It had a chocolate aftertaste. After it warmed up, the chocolate made itself known as the primary taste of the beer. It had a typical light stout smell."

So instead of going with the farmhouse ale, I decided to order this stout. I don't recall anything special about it, at least not in comparison to the two beers I would have next. But overall, I do believe I thought it was a good stout.

Website Information:
Oatmeal Stout:
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish.

Unforgettable.
