I split the beer with my dad and my friends, so we each had about a fifth of a bottle.

3 of the 5 cups poured.

I wrote: "Samuel Smith's Taddy Porter. Nice standard porter smell. Slight chocolate flavor. More carbonated than say a Guinness, which is a stout. Slightly above average." 20120701 12:42 PM PDT

Brewed with well water (the original well at the Old Brewery, sunk in 1758, is still in use, with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground), malted barley, roasted malt, yeast and hops. Fermented in ‘stone Yorkshire squares’.

Serving Suggestions • Mussels on the half shell; oysters cajun style; clams; cockles and whelks; crab or prawn cocktail; lobster bisque; veal escalope; chocolate mousse or chocolate cake.

Best served at about 55°F (13°C).

Ingredients: Water, malted barley, yeast, hops, roasted malt, cane sugar, seaweed finings, carbon dioxide.

Registered with The Vegan Society; suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
