20140828:
This Ommegang Rare Vos has a floral smell.
The taste is alright. It's a bit bitter and not at all sugary like Three Philosophers. I'm not sure whether or not I like it. 11:52PM PT
Towards the end, the beer has a sweeter, more refreshing taste. Josh seemed to like it more than I did though. 20140829 1:56AM PT

This morning I had the last of the Rare Vos. It was a bit sweeter and tastier than I remember it being yesterday. Thumbs up. 2:40PM PT

Ale Brewed with Sweet Orange Peel, Grains of Paradise, Coriander
BELGIAN-STYLE CAFE ALE.

EVERYDAY WE RACE TOWARDS SOMETHING.
THIS SHOULD BE ONE OF THEM.
RARE VOS WAS MADE TO REWARD YOUR VICTORIES.
Dropdown #1:
AT THE END OF THE DAY,
YOU SHOULD ALWAYS ENJOY THE END OF THE DAY.
A clever fox knows when to stop. And when our brewers come to the end of a long brew day, you'll find that their reward of choice is most often a Rare Vos, also known as the Sly Fox.
Named after a Brussels pub famous for bicyling contests and pigeon races, Rare Vos is our most quaffable brew. It's well balanced on every front with slightly spicy notes from grains of paradise and orange peel. The deep amber color, like a sunset, reminds you that the workday is over.
Step up to the bar, or the table at home, or whever the day's race ends, and tip one back to the fox within.
Everything for a reason.
Dropdown #2:
Easy to pour into, easy to drink out of, a tall glass will also show off the amber color.
Dropdown #3:
The balanced flavor, lively spice qualities, and ease of drinkability make Rare Vos great on its own or with pub fare like mussels and fries.
