After drinking a Pacifico, I went on to drinking this Speakeasy Big Daddy IPA.

Overall, I thought it was not bitter. Unfortunately, the taste was also not as happening as most IPAs I've tried.

After finishing this beer, I headed on over to Eureka! with my friends for some fries and more beer (Ballast Point Sculpin IPA and Mission Dark Seas).

The aroma is floral, fresh grass, pine needles, grapefruit, and a some subtle notes of fresh bread.

IBU – 60 IBU
Malt – Two Row Pale, Light Munich
Hops – Columbus, Cascade, Centennial
Availability – Year-round
Formats – Draft, 12oz. & 22oz. bottles

FOOD PAIRINGS

American comfort fare: Big Daddy is the perfect complement to buttermilk fried chicken and biscuits, a wood-fired sausage pizza or the classic bacon cheeseburger.

Bring out the spice: For those with a taste for heat look for Big Daddy's dry, hoppy bite to accent the bold flavors of curry dishes, cajun spice or tacos al pastor.

For a fresh catch: To bring out the aromatic citrus and floral notes pair with grilled salmon or fried calamari.
