Kasteel Rouge (Castle Red)

20110730:
"Cherry smells great! Oh wow, tastes great! Bubbly fruity cherry greatness." "Burping this drink is great..." 2:56 pm. Haha.

The waiter pours the beer into the chilled glass.
I definitely enjoyed this beer.

How did I go about deciding to get it? That's easy, I went from the bottom of the menu and worked my way up. I've definitely had North Coast Brother Thelonious, I've probably had Delirium Tremens, and I've definitely had North Coast Rasputin (twice, once at Yves' and once at Yard House).

Close-up.

Note: I stumbled on a webpage selling a 750 mL bottle of this beer for $8. That's a great buy compared to $11.50 for the 330 mL bottle at Yves'.

Website Information:
Castle Red is the fruit beer of the Castle range.

The Kasteel Rouge takes on an interesting appearance from above.

Its unique dark red colour is obtained by mixing Castle brown that has been left to mature for at least 6 months with sour cherries.

This beer has gastronomic qualities and can be drunk as an aperitif, with a BBQ, to accompany a dessert or simply as an outstanding real ale.
