Heavy Seas Yule Tide

20140319:
Getting ready to wind down for movie night,* I opened a bottle of Heavy Seas Yule Tide.

I wrote: "Yule Tide. Nice strong Belgium smell. It has a berry sort of alcohol. It initially had a small alcoholic burn. Overall, it's a sweet beer." 8:51PM ET
I also wrote: "It's a super solid blend of flavors. I really liked this beer." 9:26PM ET

Later in the evening I had some Rogue Chocolate Stout.

*For movie night, we first watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (2008). Afterwards, we watched Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010).

Aged for 6 weeks in Jamaican Rum barrels, this Imperial Red offers a full malt body dominated by toast, chocolate, and caramel notes. Rum barrel aging imparts a rich buttery rum character along with oaken vanilla notes. Ginger offsets the overall sweetness by adding its own drying zing.
